Archway Studio

Twelve studio spaces for emerging and established artists working in a wide range of media are provided at Archway. Inspired by the charm of the building, Antoin O’ Heocha (founder of Archway) began refurbishments in 1996 and has since transformed the then derelict property into a vibrant contemporary working space. Beneath the railway track in Dublin’s northeast city centre, this unusual building provides a unique space for artists.

The studio receives grant aid from the Arts Council of Ireland and has been featured on National Television in Ireland.

Archway is situated in an interesting visual arts neighbourhood, with The Firestation Studio, Talbot Studios and Gallery, Pallas Studios, The LAB and DIT’s Fine Art Department (Portland Row), all within a five-minute walk.

The studio has a number of open days where the public can visit the individual studios and meet the artists. There are also scheduled site-specific exhibitions and events.
